The fire service has been a part of my life since a young age. Growing up in Hockessin, Delaware, I joined my local fire department as a junior member at 15 years old. After several years of training and volunteering with Hockessin Fire Company, I got jobs at neighboring departments working as a Firefighter & EMT to save money for college.
In the 10 years since I first joined the fire service, I’ve witnessed countless departments try to buy and sell surplus equipment in all sorts of ways: Facebook groups, local auctions, and word of mouth. We experienced all kinds of issues ranging from online scammers, difficulty finding affordable pre-owned equipment, and coordinating logistics.
After experiencing first-hand the pain of trying to sell surplus equipment, I teamed up with my friend who studied computer science to make an easy and secure way for fire departments to transfer equipment.
Fire departments are the backbone of our communities, and deserve access to quality pre-owned equipment and apparatus. We want to create the most secure platform for buyers and sellers of pre-owned firefighting equipment. No more hassle in dealing with Facebook scammers.
